Entry and Exit by Land to Bhutan

The entry and exit in Bhutan can be made overland from or to India but it requires an Indian visa, which you have to be obtained from an Indian Embassy.Entry and exit can be made via the Indian border towns, Phuentsholing, if you all like to visit western Bhutan and Samdrup Jongkhar, if you like to come through eastern Bhutan. The Phuntsholing town is a border  with West Bangle and Samdrup Jongkhar town is border to Indian state of Assam. It takes three and half hours drive from Indian airport of Bagdora(with daily flights to and from Delhi,Calcutta etc.) to Phuntsholing, and it takes three hours from Guyhati(Capital state of Assam) to Samdrupjongkhar.Overland entry to Bhutan is recommended because it makes the guest or visitor aware of the rugged geography and the relative inaccessibility of the valleys.
The visitors visa is issued at Phuentsholing and Samdrupjongkhar. The visa procedures are the same as for entry by air.If anybody is interested to come to Bhutan, bhutanfolklandstours.blogspot.com can easily arrange all the procedures.
